The president of N.Z JUDO was quoted as saying when he became President two years ago as saying;
N.Z.Judo is so weak i,m going to concentrate on refereeing.
And he has kept his word!
Looking at recent results N.Z.Judo desperately need money and a programme for the development of local judo.Spending 95% of your resources on 5% of the judo population does nothing to promote local judo.
N.Z.judo is now competing with other martial arts and sports and must aim to get back to the 95 clubs it had 30 years ago and increase on the 45/50 it has now.
Well done posting regretful news, but fear not dear distant friend. We all have seen the film before!

Things could be more difficult. Imagine that you were in the position to explain to people that producing a World Champion makes more harm than it gives profit to the Judo World of your country!!! Who could ever believe you?
A small number of membership on the other hand might be not so bad, as to have a great deal of figurative membership only to give to a corrapted administration votes to go on a..."brilliant" work!
So, keep on your faith and trust there are worst things than what you described!

i concur with the author - the organisation lacks the necessary body part to listen with,in part due to the fact that it is full of 'gravy - training' supplicants who seek honorific titles and reimburse themselves from the annual levy which aphid clubs are milked. in australasia it is becoming a sport for the few and governed by the self entitled.
