Japanese Dominate the Kata World

Japanese Dominate the Kata World Championships
18th June 2011.

At the Kata World Championships, Japanese athletes have shown their supremacy very clearly.
They won all five kata competitions and this with a large margin, proving that they are still the reference in that domain. The Iranian team showed also some strong skills, winning the most medals overall. Behind Japan and Iran, the medals were "expensive", and only Italy with two medals, Romania and Spain, each with one, could reach the podium.

A total of 121 couples from 25 nations took part in the five kata competitions.
