Judo.Auckland Judo Association Holds AGM Sunday 13th December.at Greylynn Auckland.

Three amazing things happened at yesterdays meeting.
We managed to get a quorum.
Lots of clubs/members were there.

Cpt. Ben.Stallworthy was reelected president 15 votes to three. [ A young girl stood but was no match for our seasoned x army, civil servant].
Two people stood for president, a first for many years .
Both were asked to give a presentation on what they had done for judo and what they would do if elected .Half an hour later we voted .During this process some wag started playing Rambling Rose on their Ifone .
Better the old devil you know than a new young devil who nobody has seen at any meetings for yonks.
Actually her excuse was that she had been at international events entering in a futile effort to get
passed the 1st round.[continued]

Some poor misguided people think that they can become olympians or world champions by only training within their own club twice per week.
Nippon judo schools who,s candidate for this year and last year was defeated ,castrated the president for not following the Aja rules.

It was very boring, took 30 minutes and went nowhere.
It was agreed to hold a official AJA masters in early march where points count at Judokai.inc

The AJA losses for the financial years were down 75% compared to last year .
New registrations were up 125 new members.

And most important the meeting only took 2 hours, then the progressives went and had an ale at the local bar.
