The 2018 Rick Littlewood Open - Kids Competition

The 2018 edition of the Rick Littlewood Open began this morning with the Kids Competition, featuring attendance from Ochiba Judo Orewa, Judokwai North Harbour, Howick/St Heliers Judo and of course, University. This year's competition was extra special due to the fact that it was the first time the competition was held after the passing of our sensei Rick Littlewood. 

The competition featured some quality kids judo, with 40 kids split across 13 pools by weight and grade. Plenty of fun was had by all who competed, capped off with a big shared lunch upon completion of the competition. Thanks to all that attended and special thanks to the non-University members who helped out on the day (Alan Polkinghorne for being a mat steward, Lawrie Crooke and John Haanstra for refereeing)!
