All Asian Masters Judo Shiai: An Invitation to Represent

Two years ago Auckland Uni Judo Club sent a very successful all expenses piad, N.Z. Masters team to Japan.

This year the The All Japan Masters judo has been changed this year to the All Asian Masters Judo shiai. Asian Masters Judo Championships are being held at Nagaoka city 90 minutes from Tokyo on the 25-26th of September 2010. The shiai is based on age and weight. Kata is judged on Kodokan kata.

The team will leave NZ on the 18th Sept arriving on the 19th, train for 5 days and then leave for Nagaoka city. While based in Kyoto a visit will be made to Daishin Dojo in Osaka to Akihiro Matsuura Sensei 's dojo. Judoka will be free to leave for their countries from the Monday or to return to Kyoto.

It is estimated that the whole trip would cost approx; $3000, fares, accommodation, travel etc.

Pub charity grants and sponsorship
Despite the fact that pokies machine industries is in turmoil [they have been giving gambling money to trotting etc] there is plenty of money out if you are prepared to get off your arses and apply. Some charities don't sponsor overseas travel and some do. Find out which do and apply as members of the NZ team. Supporters are welcome and they will have a good time! Contact me if you are interested in going.

Regards,

Rick Littlewood
