Is an Australian trying to take over the world of Judo? Apparently yes. Kong was befriended on Facebook today by “Judo Clubs New Zealand.” JCNZ's poorly designed MS clip art logo made it appear like any other pedigree Judo organisation. Further, JCNZ was supported by “Judo Clubs America.” Digging deeper, however, revealed a somewhat different picture. Judo Clubs of New Zealand is merely one node in an international web of Judo organisations spanning the sphere of social media. Judo Clubs [insert country here] (as they are legion) are becoming as common as McDonalds. The genuinely troubling fact is that this shadowy organisation can be traced back to an Australian!
