Club News in Brief for the New Decade

Training has officially started back again!

* Congratulations to Sensei Rick on being awarded his 8th dan. The story of how this transpired is hilarious but, at this stage, not for public disclosure (BUT COMING SOON!).

* Jordan Reynolds is back on the mat. He is lean, mean and keen to share the knowledge he has accumulated. He was seen on the mat Wednesday continuing to give a series of Christmas “gifts” to his brother Cameron in the form of hard, fast taiotoshi’s. He has noted that he and Ivica will be running a four day clinic in the near future. More details as and when they appear.

* Capt Ben-the-gout appears to be on the cusp of starting a new juniors program for micro-humans on Saturday’s.

* The Silver Fox (aka Greg Reynold’s) reported that the end of year brawl was the site for some of the best quality Judo he had seen in New Zealand in recent years.  Had the Dill-Russel boys been there, he said, the heavy weight seniors division would have been a New Zealand National’s final (but better given all the internationals in attendance).

* New details on the Teams Challenge 2011 and All-Auckland Batsugan.
