Japan reclaims top Judo Nation followed by France, Australia and N.Z.Results

Russia and China once power houses of world judo failed miserly at the Rio world championships. President Putin will be selecting some to visit Siberia for additional training.
New Zealand and Australia who members had some financial backing to attend, results are below.
Ivica who trains extensively overseas helped by a friendly draw surprised the Americans in the second round to beat their  u81kg winning with ippon before being held down by the Mongolian in the 3rd round.
Those judoka who train exclusively at their own local clubs in N.Z. and Australia should smoke more weed in order to maintain their confidence and self belief.

Generally speaking 3rd world countries where people are poor with few opportunities shine in sport the most as sport is one way of becoming famous and making money. With the exception of Japan and france where large amounts of money is spent on Judo  all the other medal winning countries are third world.

  1. Ivica beat the -81 American who has done well before. Fought well against the Mongol until making a mistake a few minutes into the fight. Not bad at all..
