The Hip Movements of Corrado Croceri

University Judo & BJJ prides itself on its commitment to a (relatively) traditional Japanese approach to Judo. Recently, however, we've begun working on a series of hip movements demonstrated by the Italian Corrado Croceri (and adapted to our situation by Tom Slydog). For the time being, the club's mantra "more strength, less technique" has given way to "loose arms, more hips" (with the new age, cosmic metal soundtrack of the youtube blaring loudly from Sensei Rick's iPad).

Also on the agenda of late has been a series of strangles using the gi as demonstrated at the World Cup in Rio. Sensei Rick has assured us that the repeated viewings of said strangles has absolutely nothing to do with the beauty of the Israeli female Judo who uses the technique to great effect.
