Hashigo in Japanese means the more you drink , the higher up the ladder you go .
At the Auckland Uni judo club we are putting all the 50 club members names on a wooden tablet in grade order to start with ,being open to challenge .
Rules being simple .
Challenge the judoka above and if you win that judoka moves up a rung/rank.
Top dogs should be sorted after a month . Failure to respond to a challenge within a week will result in a win to the challenger .
Kodokan rules apply .
