Judo.Letters from Japan.

On my second to last night in Japan it was it was necessary for me to endanger my life again on your behalf.
This took the form of travelling by bike on narrow roads to the hankyu rail station bound for Osaka where l felt it was necessary to pay a visit to Matsuura Sensei from daishin dojo whom put your entries in at the last successful  shodan shiai
In Japan as you never visit someone important (to our club ) empty handed I bought and took some nice Kyoto style cakes for his efforts on behalf of uni club.
Brian Shaw who helped you all also come with me.
My next visit was to the Osaka police club where Brian trains (occasionally) which is the home to three high grade Sensei,s whom were at your grading shiai.
The Osaka Sensei,s were impressed with your judo (big and strong) and the high level of your kata. Good to hear.
This made the connection and cemented future relationships for the uni judo club.
I further endangered my health and welfare on your behalf by going eating drinking with the Osaka Sensei,s after judo .
The 1st dish served was the sperm from a cod fish marinated in vinegar, Brian was most reluctant to try but after lots of urging ate some with a funny look on his face. Ha!ha!
The next dish was tempura and Brian was told that it was KFC and it was only after he had eaten that they told him the true nature of the food. Cod testicles .
Talk about mountain oysters.
Brian was given a bottle of n.z. Wine to give to the Osaka kodokan judo teacher who processed the shodan grades and smooth way for any more uni judo members who May appear on the Osaka doorstep.
Lastly Bryan reminded me that you lot had not paid your initial ¥1000 entry fee , so I paid that as well.
The club will pay for the cakes and wine but you lot must pay the entry fee $15.00

Also all those who were successful at the shodan shiai or participated in the Asian masters will be given the generous uni judo scholarship next week.
I arrived back home at midnight from Osaka .
I arrive back home to n.z. on Saturday and will be back training from Monday.

  1. You need to stop beating up the Japanese, and taking others to beat up the Japanese. If you don't give them a chance, they will stop inviting you
