Judo . Eric Onyon Obituary died 17th November 2017 aged 66yrs.

ERIC ONYON hard left with Rick Darwick and Lou Vickers taken in the late 1970,s .At that stage Cambridge village of only 10,000 pop but had a very strong judo club .
Eric was always in the top 3 from 1973 to 1985 and represented N.Z. overseas in the early 80,s. A hard man at all times being a farmer and sheep shearer. When in Japan and when a shiai was coming up we would not shave a few days before and eat lots of garlic to breath on our opponents , Eric,s deterrent was a natural smell of sheep.ha!ha!

The funeral will be in Cambridge this week and it is expected many old judoka will turn up to pay their respects to an old not so pc warrior.
