"Winning and being present with a trophy and certificate for being the best Kodokan 7 th dan at the Kodokan high grades and the 1st non Japanese ever to be presented with such an honour, was not as important as proving that my heart was back to normal and that at the age of 74 yrs I could back into serious judo. Thank you for the support u guys gave me
Rick"
PS: "The president of the Kodokan Haruo Uemura Sensei came over and congratulated me on my win and presentation"

Pretty amazing for a septuagenarian with a dodgy ticker but now fully recovered it would appear.
