Kimura Mitsuro 8 dan Mr Kosen judo told me when I first arrived in Yonago city in 1965 that strong legs were essential for good judo.
in order to achieve this I was told that two Japanese customs would help .
Japanese squat toilets and wearing geta, wooden shoes .
Both items have been install at the uni judo club to facilitate the development of strong legs .
