Return to Level One Update from Club President

1. JUNIOR CLUB

We are hopeful that Auckland will move to Alert-Level One after Wednesday 7 October.

This will allow our Junior Club to start training for Term 4 on Monday 12 October (5.00-6.00pm).  It will be wonderful to have our juniors back.

Those who paid for Term 3 ($100) will receive a credit of 80% via HelloClub towards their Term 4 judo fees (or can be set against 2021 fees).

It is crucial that every person who steps into the dojo first logs in via HelloClub (parent; athlete or sibling) - this is crucial to everyones’s safety, and allows us to have a digital record.  It is NOT enough to just use the government App (though this is also encouraged).

Anyone who does not comply is unwelcome to come in the dojo.

2. SENIOR CLUB

- Starting on Wednesday 7 October - training times on Monday, Wednesday, Friday move to 6.15 - 8.15pm.
This is for two reasons:-
    - to allow the junior club to have left the dojo; this will reduce ‘casual contact’, in terms of         reducing COVID-19 risk
    - this will reduce traffic congestion with two training sessions intersecting.

- Please, please, please.. Seniors, where possible do NOT park on Woodhall Road, we are trying to minimise our impact on local residents (we are not making the same request of Juniors due to road safety).

- If we do move to Alert-Level One this week / it will NOT be necessary to ‘pre-register’ for training sessions after Wednesday - just turn up for training as you always have.

- Normal training payments will start from Monday 12 October (rather than per session payments) - assuming we are in Alert-Level One.

It is crucial that every person who steps into the dojo first logs in via HelloClub - this is crucial to everyone’s safety, and allows us to have a digital record.  It is NOT enough to just use the government App (though this is also encouraged).  Anyone who does not comply is unwelcome to come in the dojo.

3. OTHER

- Stu is working hard to get the dojo resource consent to operate under Auckland’s Unitary plan.

- We will aim to have a Club dinner at Tanuki before the end of October.

- Congratulations to Auckland BJJ on their new dojo - we are missing you guys already.

Auckland Area Open is scheduled 7 November - if you wish to enter, please put your entry fees into Uni Judo Club account / or pay by eftpos - once you have made payment, please show a senior club member your proof of payment, and they will enter you on the spot (payment first please).
