Legendary judo champion, Elvis Gordon, who became one of the sport’s biggest international stars has passed away
The IJF is really sad to announce the passing away of Elvis Gordon, who was fighting agains cancer. After having won so many fights during his career, he has just lost his last battle. For the past months his ex-teammates, leaded by World Champion and Olympic Silver medalist, Neil Adams, where supporting him strongly. The popular 51-year-old, who was living in Pendeford, won gold in the European Championships and Commonwealth Games. He also won a silver medal in the World Championships and was British champion non less than 11 times. Last year again, he picked up a silver medal at the British Masters Championships after a 16-year break.
