Coach Profile: Dave Mair

Saturday classes at Uni Judo are taken by the now silver-haired Dave Mair. Outside of Judo he is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Skellerup Holdings and a director of A2. He's a business man who enjoys what he does, and font of knowledge about the practice of taking Judo off the mat and into corporate strategy and the boardroom.

Dave says that loves uchimata, but can't do it. It is also rumored that Dave is good at newaza. This is substantially true. However, evidence has recently come to light that tell a different story.

Here, Ivor Endicott Davies is holding Dave down in the finals of the Mens Open SI Champs in 1975.

Dave's Saturday classes at Uni Judo now run from 11.30 am-1pm. The classes are open to Judoka of all ages and grades.
