Judo Brown Belt grading coming up at Uni Judo 4th sept.
On a Monday or Wednesday not decided yet a Brown belt grading will be held from 7pm.
All interest blue belts must study hard by watching Sensei Mifune 10 Dan's YouTube demonstration of uki otoshi sudden drop throw and Kiki nage air throw, and many other Meiji era 1866-1912 never used these days judo techniques five times. For those who have not fallen asleep after five times watching will be credited with five points towards the ten needed to get a brown belt.
Half of the Meiji type throws that need to be demonstrated are in the Nage no kata thus aspiring brown are required to demonstrate some techniques twice.
At this point we wish to Deny that judo nz devised this crazy grading system to make judo promotion difficult AND DRIVE MORE PEOPLE TO b.j.j..
Add to this crazy grading system 8th Dans in nz judo can only grade up to blue belt.
The brown belt system in addition to the above goes like this!
Two judo nz registered 2 nd Dan from different clubs clubs can hold a grading which we have .
Two Japanese graded 2 nd dans will take the grading.
Watch this space for when.
