Re Asian Masters at the Kodokan in Sept 2013.

Hi Rick

Thanks for the information and 'good luck' in the competition. However due to several considerations I will not be there:

(a) I have had a long lay off since the Europeans in Paris in late June (silver only) - therefore I am not 'match fit' right now.

(b) According to Andy Bondor the Worlds (Marbella, Spain in 2014) will be in Japan in November 2015 - and so I will make that my third and final visit out there for that (If this venue is changed then I might go to the next Asian Games in Japan instead of waiting for the Worlds to select there again).

(c) I have almost committed to the British and Austrian Masters in order to prepare for Abu Dhabi and to see a few 'old' friends.

(d) Our next BJA Masters Commission is on 20th September!

All in all, I just can't go.

Did I tell you that most of our club now cross-train with the local Brazilian Jujitsu club - or maybe it is they who cross-train with us Very successful so far mainly because they are a great bunch of guys - nice, competitive and as keen to learn to throw as we are to improve our ne-waza.
