Wednesday training was the last training at the club before head coach and club president Rob takes a tour group to Japan to experience Japanese Judo during the term 1 school holidays, where they will also be participating in cultural activities (partially funded by the Asia Foundation). One of the people going on this tour is our own Phoebe Lu. But before going on the trip, as a birthday present no less, we presented Phoebe with her green belt, rewarding her for the tenacity she has shown at training (especially coming back from two ankle injuries, the aftermath of one pictured below).
We wish Phoebe and the rest of the participants of the Kodokan Tour good luck on their travels.
