Auckland University - Year End Competition & Social

WHERE? University Judo Dojo, 6 Woodhall Road, Epsom

WHEN? Sunday, 8th December 2019

HOW MUCH? 

•                Kids – $10 or a plate of food (That is right… you bring yummy food, and it is free!!!  That includes pretty, pretty medals… sourced directly from Asia <wow!>)

•                Adults - $30 (includes food and drink) / spectators $20 (includes food and drink) 

*please, if you are drinking alcohol – ensure you have considered safe transport home (we care about you)

TIME TABLE:

Kids from 10am (food to follow)

Adults arrive at 1.30pm, competing from 2pm (full meal to follow)

HOW TO ENTER

Either send your (or your club’s competitor’s) name, age, mobile number, approximate weight and club to aucklandunijudo@gmail.com OR EVEN BETTER… you can fill in the kiddie / adult google form.  Entry fee will be in cash on the day.

The end of year celebration also recognises Rick Littlewood’s (IJF & Kodokan 8th Dan) birthday.  To celebrate Rick’s memory, it would be great to have a lot of competitors present. Organization of brackets (either by weight, age, gender etc) will be done closer to the event based on entries received (with the possibility of a team competition or open depending on interest on the day). For those familiar with our club’s end of year competition, we operate on more-or-less kosen judo rules. This means more time for ne-waza, guard pulling allowed and more relaxed rules around leg grabs. Following the adults competition we will hold the annual club BBQ for all competitors (and supporters).
