Over this weekend in Wellington at the National Technical Examination weekend, University Judo's Club President and Head Sensei, Rob Levy, earned his 6th dan.
For most of this year, Rob has been staying back after trainings practicing his Koshiki no Kata (some times, even practicing by himself on the days when his kata partner couldn't turn up). This weekend, it paid off, with Rob earning his red and white belt, recognizing his decades of commitment to judo in New Zealand, from being an international competitor to coaching the national team.
Congratulations Rob on the well-deserved achievement. We'll look forward to celebrating at the dojo.
