To all members and friends of University Judo,
In line with our previous social media posts about COVID-19, after some discussion, our club has decided to follow the example set by other similar clubs around the world and suspend operations for a month until April 19. At the end of this period, we will assess the situation and discuss whether or not to re-open or to continue to wait out the pandemic. Given that we are a sport that requires lots of physical contact, we feel that this decision is necessary in order to protect the health of our members, neighbours and to do our part to help curb the spread of the virus within New Zealand.
