The venue is the new Kilburnie sports center and is close to the center of the city and not at the Walter Nash sport center Lower Hutt so we don't have to fight our way past bikie gangs as we have had to do in the past.
Judo N.Z. have always liked to hold judo champs when in Wellington at the Lower Hutt Walter Nash sports center which always had bikie gang members hanging around outside. We at Kong suspect this was JUDO n.z. attempt to recruit new members and thereby put a bit of muscle back into n.z. judo.
